WHY SHOULD YOU APPLY TO OUR ORGANIZATION?
Reason #1: Will allow you to pursue your interests in the social studies at a higher level
One of the primary goals of the club is to promote and provide opportunities in the field of Social Studies. There will be no overbearing board of directors that controls all the activities. If a member of the club has an good idea, the assets (members, funding, etc..) will be used to turn that idea into a reality. For some, this organization can a crucial stepping stone to success.
Reason #3: College Applications
Reason #2: Working with like minded students
You will be working with a group of like-minded individuals who also share a passion for the Social Studies. This can be an opportunity for you to build relationships with people who are also interested in the Social Studies. These relationships, in turn, will be valuable when you need help with a Social-Studies related venture, or if you need any help in general.
Writing that you were a part of a Honor Society on your college is something that is unique and sets you apart from your competition. For those who are interested in studying the Social-Studies in college (majors in History, Economics, Law, Political Science, and more), writing down that you were a part of a Social-Studies Honor Society would help substantiate your statement that you are interested in the Social Studies. For those who are not so sure about what they want to study on college, being a part of this Honor Society will make you seem more well-rounded. Colleges today are looking at college applicants in a more holistic manner. This means that they are looking at extracurricular activities as closely as they are looking at academics.
